Today, the UHD community celebrated the completion of the university's Welcome Center with a special ribbon cutting ceremony. The brand-new, sun-dappled fourth-floor space is the new home of Admissions, Enrollment Management, the Registrar's Office, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Parking and Transportation, and Veteran Services. Gators have already taken advantage of the study and lounge spaces dotted throughout the contemporary space.

Now that Phase II of the Gator Expansion is complete, we're excited to announce that Phase III renovations of the third floor “Main Street” corridor in the One Main Building will begin. Stay tuned for more, Gators.

The 2026 State of the University Address was one for the books. UHD Interim President Deborah E. Bordelon, Ph.D., shared the University’s accomplishments and rankings with staff, students, faculty, alumni, and special guests. Emceed by KHOU 11 9 p.m. Anchor and Special Projects Reporter Marcelino Benito, the event also included a performance by UHD's Mariachi Aayin.

Dr. Bordelon said, “Our community has never stopped believing in the power, the impact and the promise of UHD because UHD has never stopped delivering on that promise."
