HCU Humanities Alumnus headed to Duke's Doctoral Program!

Congratulations to Allison Garde for being accepted into Duke Divinity School's Doctor of Theology program. Mrs. Garde is a graduate of HCU's Master of Liberal Arts program (Spring 2018). She joins a growing number of HCU Humanities alumni being accepted into top-10 doctoral programs at places like Duke, the University of Chicago, the University of Texas at Austin, Notre Dame University, Princeton University, and Rice University.

Mrs. Garde comments that "The faculty is what drew me to HCU and ended up being my favorite part of my education" and "When I came to HCU, I was already a teacher, but my time there with the faculty convinced me that I wanted to stay in education. Even now, when I think of pedagogical models I want to emulate, I often think of HCU faculty."
