As the construction for the New Engineering and Science Building is underway, the project will close a portion of the sidewalk for access to Duncan Hall and on the inner loop over three separate time periods beginning Monday, Oct. 18 through Monday, Nov. 8. The closures are necessary in order to make utility connections for the new building. A map is included for reference (below) with the sidewalk closure and dates in red as well as suggested alternate access in green.
Reminder: Please utilize the temporary sidewalks on Campanile Road and the sidewalk to Duncan Hall in order to avoid walking in the middle of vehicular driveways.
Contact Angie Chen ([email protected] or 713-348-6387) with specific questions about this scheduled work.

Partial Road and Sidewalk Closure on Alumni Drive:
Beginning Wednesday, July 28 through Saturday, July 31, there will be a partial road and sidewalk closure on Alumni Drive between the South Servery and Intramural Field 6. The road is being closed in order to cut in a path for a conduit to serve the new Hanszen Wing. The closure will be from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm each day.
All vehicular traffic will be directed by a flag person. All pedestrian traffic will need to detour through the Wiess and Hanszen College Quads to avoid the area of construction.
A map is shown here with more detailed information. Questions about this scheduled road and sidewalk closure should be directed to Anzilla Gilmore at 713-348-3395 or by email at [email protected].
