Galena Park ISD has remained committed to supporting children in our community by offering free summer meals. Through the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Seamless Summer Option, the district will once again provide free breakfast and lunch to all children 18 years of age and younger during summer 2026.

The program will run from May 26 through July 2, 2026, with serving times varying by campus. No registration is required—children may simply visit a participating school site during serving hours. Please note that program guidelines require meals to be consumed on campus.

As the school year comes to an end, Dr. Cavazos and Mrs. Ramirez took time to honor two outstanding teams whose hard work, teamwork, and dedication made a lasting impact on our campus this year. Throughout the year, these teams consistently demonstrated positivity, commitment, flexibility, and enthusiasm in everything they did. Whether supporting students academically, creating engaging learning experiences, helping campus events run smoothly, or stepping in wherever needed, they always put our Bulldogs first.

While these teams were specially recognized, we also want to acknowledge that every single team at PSE played an important role in making this year successful. Our staff continuously showed up each day with dedication, heart, and a shared commitment to helping our students grow and succeed. A special award and shoutout to our 5th grader, Sebastian, for his dedication to Safety Patrol this school year! 💜🐾

Many of you saw Sebastian each morning opening car doors, helping guide our youngest Bulldogs safely inside, and making sure arrival ran smoothly and safely for everyone. He became a daily fixture during morning arrival, always ready to help with a positive attitude and caring heart.

We are so grateful for his service, leadership, and commitment to our campus this year. Thank you, Sebastian, for being such an incredible example of what it means to be a Bulldog! ✨👏
