Carpenter Elementary

Our first Summer Book Checkout starts next Tuesday, June 2 from 4-6 PM in the Carpenter Elementary Library! 📚☀️

Students can check out library books for summer reading, and our first theme is TRAVEL! ✈️🌎 Students will get to decorate their own passport to log their reading journey all summer long.

We can’t wait to see our Carpenter Cats! We already miss y’all, even though summer just started! 🐾💙🧡

We have also attached all summer book checkout dates so you can make plans to join us!

✨ Throwback Thursday to our 4th and 5th grade awards ceremonies last week! 🏆

We loved celebrating our students for their hard work, leadership, citizenship, and academic achievements throughout the school year. A special congratulations to the students who received Presidential Awards for their outstanding academic success! 👏

It was an especially meaningful day for our 5th graders as they received their final elementary school awards before heading to junior high. We are so proud of our cats and can’t wait to see all they accomplish next! 🧡💙🐾

PART 2 ☀️🌺 Last day of school parties were so much fun yesterday! From Hawaiian leis and beach balls to summer goodies and fun activities, our students had the best time celebrating an amazing school year. 🎉🏖️

Our 5th graders had an extra special send-off with karaoke, free play in the gym, coloring, popcorn, and lots of other fun snacks and activities. We will miss this group so much next year as they head off to junior high, but we know they are going to do great things. 💙🧡🎓✨

This morning, current DPISD seniors who are also former Carpenter Elementary Cats came back to walk our halls one last time before graduation! 🎓🐾

They had the chance to see former teachers and the staff who helped shape them into who they are today. Our current students cheered them on as they head toward their next adventure after graduation. We are so proud of our Carpenter alumni and can’t wait to see all they accomplish! 🧡💙✨

🎉 Our first grade students lined the halls to cheer on kindergarten as they paraded through the first grade pod!

Such a sweet way to get our future first graders excited for their next adventure. We know they are going to do amazing things next school year, and our kindergartners are so excited to become first graders soon! ❤️📚✨

🐾🏆 Our 1st - 3rd grade students received their end of year awards yesterday! From math awards to citizenship and everything in between, we loved celebrating all of their hard work and accomplishments this year. We are so proud of our cats! 🧡💙✨
