Our Kolter Cougars are putting caring into action!

September 8–11, we will be collecting travel-size supplies to create care packages for a local veterans home as part of our Veterans Day Project.

Each grade level is helping with a different item:

PK & Kinder: Travel size Toothbrushes
1st Grade: Chapstick
2nd & 3rd Grade: Travel size Toothpaste
4th Grade: Band-Aids
5th Grade: Travel size Hand sanitizer

Thank you for helping our Cougars learn what it truly means to be a Cougar Who Cares. We can’t wait to see all of these donations come together for our local veterans!

Yesterday, Kolter went a little pinker and a whole lot sparklier for Dolly Day.

A fierce literacy advocate. A philanthropist whose generosity is unmatched. The voice behind some of our favorite hits. And a woman who loved sparkle, parades and cowgirl boots?

Come on. This is basically our love language.

So we celebrated Dolly the only way we know how: pink, boots, sweet treats, Cups of Ambition, and plenty of love for a woman who spent her life putting books into the hands of children. 💗📚🤠✨

If you strolled down Runnymeade today, you may have noticed Kolter has a few new faces along the fence. And by faces, we mean silhouettes. Lots of them.

These were made possible by last year’s I Heart Kolter campaign, and we absolutely love how they turned out. There’s just something about seeing little reminders of our Cougars doing what they do every day woven into the place they get to call their school.

A project like this takes a village, and apparently also quite a bit of steel. Huge thanks to our Kolter PTO, Triple S Steel, TTI Incorporated, Fab Industries, Mike Gonzalez of Circle B Corrosion, and Jason Saldana, who designed and coordinated the project. Taking a fun idea and actually making it happen is no small thing, and we’re so grateful.

Take a walk down Runnymeade and check them out. They’re sweet, they’re fun, they’re very Kolter, and they make our little corner of Houston feel even more like home. ❤️🐾💙

Our Cougars are back in the library!

Our amazing librarian has also given the library a fresh new look this year, making one of our favorite spaces even more accessible exciting for our readers.

We’re big believers in building a lifelong love of reading, and sometimes it starts with something as simple as wandering the shelves and finding just the right book.

Big things were happening at Kolter today…

KOL-TV officially made its debut! Our fifth grade anchors stepped behind the desk, classrooms across campus tuned in and a brand-new Kolter tradition was officially underway.

Did everything go perfectly? Absolutely not. But the cameras rolled, our kids were fantastic and Broadcast #1 is officially in the books.

We’re so proud of our students and can’t wait to watch KOL-TV grow. Stay tuned, Kolter-land. We’re just getting started. ❤️🎬💙

We have some pretty special people at Kolter, and today we get to celebrate one of the very best.

She spends her days making Kindergarten a place where little Cougars feel safe, loved, challenged, and very excited to come back tomorrow. She has a smile that lights up a room, a laugh you can hear coming down the hallway, and a genuine love for her students that shows in everything she does.

We could not be prouder to introduce our 2025–2026 Kolter Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Barton!

An incredible teacher, a wonderful teammate, and one of the people who makes Kolter-land such a special place.

Congratulations, Ms. Barton! This one is so well deserved. 💚🐾🩷
