What does it actually take to create a new Operator Qualification course?

In this HDDA member update, HDDA Board Member Cory Baker provides a behind-the-scenes look at the Operator Qualification training courses currently being developed by the association and why this work matters to the future of the HDD industry.

Developing the course content is only part of the process. Once a course is completed, there is still a significant amount of work required to get that training into the appropriate systems, gain industry acceptance, and move it toward becoming a recognized requirement. Cory discusses the challenges involved, the progress being made, and the long-term value these courses can provide for contractors, owners, operators, and the industry as a whole.

The HDDA continues to invest in training and workforce development initiatives that help strengthen our industry, improve safety, and create a more consistent standard for HDD professionals across the country.
