Carrillo Elementary Music

Today is a proud moment! Our Carrillo Elementary Music Program added 3 new trophies to the trophy case! This year our music program won more awards than any other year! 🎷🐾🎶🎉🏆

A HUGE shoutout to Carrillo Elementary PTO for their help sending us to the Pride of Texas Music Festival!

Carrillo Elementary Parents. It’s with mixed emotions that I announce that I will be leaving Carrillo Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. I’ve had an amazing time building our programs, however I have been offered and have accepted a position at another school. This was a decision that my family and I felt would be the best for us. I will be finishing the school year and we have several more events planned. Band parents should have received a handout with the events for the rest of the year. Beatle Cubs will be doing their contest tomorrow and both groups as well as our new drumline will be performing at the concert on Thursday May 14 at 5:30 at Carrillo.

4th and 5th grade Band and Drumline. SAVE THE DATE! Saturday next week is Stephen F. Austin High School’s annual Jr. Crankfest! We’ll need students to arrive at Austin HS between noon and 12:30 to get set up and we’ll show these other schools what our Carrillo Cougar Band is made of! If you have a music shirt, please wear that. Just like today, if you don’t I will have some to loan out. 🐾 🎺 🎷 🥁

Reminder! 1st through 5th grade, if you received a letter do not forget about Beatle Cub practice tomorrow! 🐾 🎸

4th and 5th grade band parents. Please be on the lookout for a permission slip and medical form that was sent this week. I will need both for students to attend the May 9 contest.
