Our driveway has a name!
Thanks to a generous gift from the Mohr family at the Gateway 20 Gala, we are proud to officially unveil “Resilience Road” at Gateway Academy.
We could not think of a more meaningful name to represent our students and community. Every day, Gateway students show resilience through challenges, growth, friendships, academics, and the discovery of their strengths.
Thank you to Jennifer and Martin Mohr for supporting Gateway Academy. We are so excited to welcome students, families, staff, and visitors to Resilience Road!

As part of an end-of-year project, Mr. White’s class hosted a Poetry Slam! Students performed poems from literature along with a few original pieces, showcasing their creativity and confidence. When the mic opened to the audience, Ms. Villages shared a thoughtful and introspective piece that earned plenty of snaps around the room.
Next stop: college, careers, and independence! This class includes two scholarship students heading to Adelphi University’s Theatre Program and the University of St. Thomas College of Fine Arts, three students entering Pragmatic Studies at UST, one heading to Beacon College’s College of Business, and two students continuing at Lone Star College. We have one future rancher. And an entrepreneur!
This is 20 years of Changing the Story.
The Class of 2026 leaves Gateway with workplace skills, budgeting knowledge, accommodation letters, confidence, and experience earned at places like Memorial Hermann, HEB, Katz Coffee, MOD Pizza, Kid’s Meals, Sheraton, Houston Food Bank, and more.
We are so proud of our graduating class of 2026! 300+ internship hours each. Real resumes. Real job experience. Real plans for the future.

Today is Administrative Professionals Day, and Gateway just wants to say thank you!
The work being done by Mrs. Henderson, Mrs. Entrekin, and Mrs. Rios happens behind the scenes, but it makes a difference in every part of our day. From the small details to the big moments, you keep things running, support our staff and students, and step in wherever you’re needed.
We’re grateful for your patience, care, and the consistency you bring to this community. It doesn’t go unnoticed.
Thank you for everything you do.
