Meet our Nutcracker guest artist! Mr. Jeremy will be dancing Drosselmeyer for Kennedy Dance Theatre’s Nutcracker!

Jeremy Carmona has over 21 years of dance experience and 6 years of teaching. A former Ballet Jete company member, he has performed with tap artists Jason Samuels Smith, Chloe Arnold, and Acia Gray, and starred in productions like Grease, The Nutcracker, Aladdin, and Peter Pan. He continues to perform with KDT and some outside work with Friendswood Contemporary Ballet, and he currently directs KDT’s competition team, Rhythm and Moves, sharing his passion and experience with young dancers.

Kenneth Kohrs, 14 years old, started his ballet journey as a 3-year-old at Fort Bend Academy of Dance and was accepted into the BalletForte Ballet Company in 2023. He has performed in several of their productions including: The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Coppelia, and En Avant. When not dancing with BalletForte, Kenneth has enjoyed being a guest artist for Ballet Jete and attending Louisville Ballets summer intensive, along with competing at the Universal Ballet Competition. Kenneth has been a proud associate of Regional Dance America since 2023. Outside of dance, Kenneth is enjoying being a 9th grader at Travis High School, playing percussion in his high school band, training in karate at Lone Star Karate, and hanging out with his family.

Meet our Nutcracker guest artist! Madison will be dancing Sugar Plum Fairy for Kennedy Dance Theatre’s Nutcracker!

Madison Merrill is a high school senior and a student at Houston Ballet Academy (HBA). Prior to joining HBA, Madison trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and at Feijóo Ballet School. Over the past few summers, Madison also trained in Monaco at Académie Princesse Grace and in London at the Royal Ballet School. This will be Madison’s thirteenth season performing in a production of The Nutcracker. As a past member of Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre, Madison has performed many roles in The Nutcracker, including the roles of Clara, Sugar Plum Fairy, and Snow Queen. In Stanton Welch’s Nutcracker at Houston Ballet, Madison performed the roles of Penguin and Candy Court. Madison is honored to be a guest artist for KDT’s Nutcracker this year and is grateful to Yuka Omori, Jennifer Sommers, and her teachers at HBA for supporting her in this opportunity.
