KDT Ballet Jeté

We are excited to invite Ballet Forte dancers, Averlee and Kenneth! They will be dancing Paquita Pas de Trois with our Jeté member, Julia!

Averlee Kohrs
Averlee Kohrs, 15 years old, is a soloist with BalletForte and is in her third year as a company member. She has performed in several of their productions including: The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Coppelia, and En Avant. When not dancing with BalletForte, Averlee has trained with Joffrey Texas, Louisville Ballet, and The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and has competed several years at the Youth America Grand Prix and Universal Ballet Competition. Averlee has been a proud associate of Regional Dance America since 2022 and this year was honored to be named an Outstanding Senior Soloist. Outside of dance, Averlee is enjoying her freshman year at Travis High School, taking care of her family horses, and hanging out with her siblings. Averlee is excited and thankful to have this opportunity to dance with Ballet Jete’.

Kenneth Kohrs
Kenneth Kohrs, 13 years old, is in the corps de ballet with BalletForte and is in his second year as a company member. He has performed in several of their productions including: The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Coppelia, and En Avant. When not dancing with BalletForte, Kenneth has enjoyed competing several years at the Youth America Grand Prix and Universal Ballet Competition. Kenneth has been a proud associate of Regional Dance America since 2023. Outside of dance, Kenneth enjoys being an 8th grader at Bowie Middle School, training at Lone Star Karate, practicing his percussion skills, playing video games, and hanging out with his family. Kenneth is excited and thankful to have this opportunity to dance with Ballet Jete’.

I’m so happy to invite Nara Gallardo Boyler from Houston Ballet Academy for Paquita etoile for Enchanted Evening I on April 12 at Bayou Theatre🥰

Nara Gallardo Boyler

Nara was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she fell in love with dance. She started dancing at a small studio, and when she was 8, then she was accepted into the Teatro Colón (Colón Theater). Nara also trained at academies like Fundación Julio Bocca and Arte XXI with prestigious teachers. Later when she was 14, she won a scholarship in a competition, which gave her the chance to study here in the U.S at Houston Ballet Academy where she continues to improve her skills and she looks for new opportunities in dance.

I’m thrilled to announce our guest principal dancer, Anton Iakovlev!!! I’m so glad that my students will be able to dance with professional dancers on April 12 at Bayou Theater for Enchanted Evening performance💓

Anton Iakovlev

Anton Iakovlev was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia (1992-2000) in the class of Boris Bregvadze and earned a BFA.
He has danced professionally for the St. Petersburg Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia, New York Theatre Ballet NY, NY, Oklahoma City Ballet, as principal dancer for Ballet Theatre of Maryland, as a solist dancer for Connecticut Ballet, South Carolina Ballet, and Theatre Vanemuine Ballet in Tartu, Estonia.
