A quick number worth knowing if you're a Texas family: UT Austin now covers full tuition for households earning up to $100K, and provides partial tuition support up to $125K.

No extra forms. No special application. Just the FAFSA or TASFA, filed on time.

If your family assumed a flagship university was financially out of reach, this is exactly the kind of program that can change that math. It's a good reminder to build your student's list around fit and aid potential — not assumptions.

Curious what this could look like for your family? Let's talk it through on a complimentary strategy call — link in bio.

"We can't afford UT Austin."

Here's what a lot of parents don't know: UT Austin now covers full tuition for Texas families with household income up to $100,000 — and offers partial support up to $125,000. No separate application. It happens automatically when your student files the FAFSA or TASFA.

The lesson here goes beyond one school: don't let sticker price make the decision before your family even applies. The gap between "listed cost" and "what you'll actually pay" is often biggest at the schools that feel the most out of reach.

Your application is often the first impression a college gets of your student. Make it count. ✍️

Typos and confusing answers send an unintended message: rushed, careless, not ready. Clarity isn't just polish — it's proof your student can communicate at a college level.

Before hitting submit, slow down. Read it closely. Get a second set of eyes on it.

Your best foot forward isn't about sounding impressive. It's about sounding like a clear, careful thinker who's ready for what's next.

The rules of college sports are changing again — and it could reshape how billions in athlete pay get distributed. 🏈💰

When it comes to recommendation letters, more isn't better. 📝

Colleges aren't counting letters — they're reading them. A stack of generic praise doesn't move the needle the way one or two thoughtful, specific letters can.

The strongest letters come from someone who actually knows your student — not just his or her transcript, but how he or she thinks, works, and shows up. That's what turns a recommendation into evidence, instead of just another form to check off.

Quality over quantity. Every time.

4 college application "truths" that need a reality check 👇

❌ Submitting at 12:01 AM on August 1st gets you extra credit.
✅ It doesn't. But submitting on time? That's what actually keeps you competitive.

❌ Admissions officers skim your essays.
✅ They read them. Every word. Make yours worth reading.

❌ Your activities list is basically a resume.
✅ It's not. Your expanded academic resume is longer, more detailed, and tells a fuller story than any professional resume ever could.

❌ Test scores don't matter anymore.
✅ They still do. This is a competition — you don't show up empty-handed.

The families who get this right aren't guessing. They're prepared.

Want a strategy session to make sure your student's application is doing all four of these right? Link in bio to schedule a complimentary call. 🎓

The rules of college sports are changing again — and it could reshape how billions in athlete pay get distributed. 🏈💰

A new Senate bill would more than double the money schools can share with players, adding a $25M "retention pool" on top of what's already allowed. But here's the catch: it could shake up the House settlement's 22% revenue-sharing formula, and it still doesn't solve the NIL loophole that's driving costs through the roof.

While Washington sorts out the money side of college athletics, one thing hasn't changed: the fundamentals that get your student into the right school with the right financial plan are still fully within your control.
