In CrossFit like any athletic endeavor where endurance and fitness are tested there is a balance between size and performance, but muscle mass is not your enemy.
Athletes you should be striving to build muscle across your training career, ESPECIALLY if strength is your major performance limiter.
Don’t expect to fire a cannon off the side of a canoe.
