Grand Oak Academy is an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) special needs private school that fully incorporates the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis into a traditional classroom environment. We serve students with a variety of special needs including Autism, Asperger’s, speech delays, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. We do not require a diagnosis to apply for admission, a

diagnosis will only be required from your insurance company to reimburse expenses if you choose to use them as a funding source. GOA offers a full academic curriculum along with individualized goals with daily progress tracking on behavior, social skills, and academics. Staff is comprised of both certified teachers as well as certified ABA therapists at various levels including Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA), and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA). All staff work together to ensure a typical educational experience stays behaviorally sound to warrant optimal learning in a ratio of 1 teacher to 3 students. This program was formed in reaction to the needs of our clients and their families to have the necessities of what ABA provides while still being able to experience the benefits of a school environment. The goal of Grand Oak Academy is two-fold:

To provide an intermediate step between the one-on-one Day Program setting and general education public or private school systems. To provide a long-term specialized private school option for those families who wish to keep ABA a larger part of their child’s lives and do not have immediate plans to transition to public school.
