We are thrilled to be partnering with Houston Center for Photography this year at Clemente Martinez with a fifth grade girls photography class. Thank you Laura Corley Burlton for your beautiful and gentle guidance of these girls. Watching them fall in love with photography and themselves is magic.

Working with the Marshall Middle Academy of Fine Arts- HISD students is such a wonderful part of our programming. Kajal Desai will work with the 8th grade dance class all year teaching Indian Dance & Bollywood. It is such a wonderful collaboration with these students and the light and joy they present in their dances is beautiful.

An amazing first day of art classes at Clemente Martinez Elementary School. So much big, beautiful, bold art — drumming, choosing props for films, creating theater and dance, and the first year of a singing club in collaboration with Houston Boychoir. A happy day 1!

After a year of mindfulness classes it was rewarding to see the Clemente Martinez students be able to apply so much of their knowledge and resources from their year of mindfulness lessons as they prep for tomorrow’s first day of STAAR testing. The students created plans involving breathing to wake up the brain, brain dance warm-ups, eye tracking and corpus callous exercises. They devised their own personal plan and then we created miniature calming bottles or empowerment water bottles. So proud of these mindful kids. you Mann Design for this AMAZING room to work in today💚💚💚💚🤓
