Identity Speaks

If 2026 is the year of being rooted…
then the real question is:

What are you rooted in right now?

Because whatever you’re rooted in…
you will become.

If you’re rooted in fear → you’ll produce hesitation.
If you’re rooted in wounds → you’ll produce cycles.
If you’re rooted in truth → you’ll produce fruit.

Most people don’t have an identity problem—
they have a root problem.

And roots are formed by what you listen to.

So let’s go deeper:

Whose voice shaped your identity?
What words are you building from?
What truth are you actually anchored in?

Because when the wrong voice speaks,
identity gets distorted.

But when The Father speaks,
identity aligns.

Colossians 2:6–7 doesn’t suggest rooting—
it commands it.

So don’t just claim the year.
Check your roots.

When The Father Speaks, Identity Speaks.

One of my personal mottos is simple: find a yes.

No is easy.
No, I don’t have it.
No, I can’t help.
No, I can’t do anything.
No, I can’t find a job.
No, I haven’t figured out the next step.

But what happens when you acknowledge the no—
and instead of accepting it at face value, you dig deeper?

I’ve learned there’s a yes hidden inside almost every no.

In the job landscape, I heard “no” so many times that eventually I had to create a yes for myself.
It hasn’t produced as much as I want yet—
but it has produced.
And more importantly, it has produced the confidence to keep pressing toward a larger affirmative position.

When you have a family and real responsibilities, whatever that looks like, you have to decide:

Where does your confidence live?
Where does your faith live?

Because eventually, you have to make that place produce the yes you need—
not from a broken place,
but from a place of resolution.

For me, that resolution is anchored in this truth:

He who began a good work in me will carry it to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

So I’ll ask you the question that’s been shaping me:

Where does your YES live?
