🌀 ADJUSTERS — ARE YOU WATCHING WHAT'S COMING OFF AFRICA? 👀
If you've been waiting for the Atlantic to wake up… this is the time to start paying attention.
We are moving into the heart of hurricane season, and tropical waves are beginning to roll off the coast of Africa—one after another.
🔥 INVEST 96L IS NOW ONE TO WATCH.
The National Hurricane Center currently gives this system a 60% chance of tropical development over the next several days.
And if 96L develops into a tropical storm, the next name on the 2026 Atlantic list is:
🌀 DOLLY
To be clear—it is NOT Tropical Storm Dolly yet, and that 60% represents the chance of tropical development, NOT a 60% chance of becoming a hurricane.
But here's why adjusters should be paying attention:
🌊 We're approaching the historical peak of hurricane season.
🌊 More tropical waves are continuing to come off Africa.
🌊 96L has thousands of miles of warm Atlantic water ahead of it.
🌊 The models will continue changing as these systems move west.
Could one eventually make its way toward the Caribbean or Gulf of America?
Right now, the models do not show a clear Gulf threat from 96L, and conditions ahead may make strengthening difficult.
But anyone who has worked hurricane claims knows something very important:
You don't start preparing when the hurricane is in the Gulf.
You prepare BEFORE the storm.
For adjusters who have their license, Xactimate skills, property scoping knowledge, equipment, rosters and availability ready to go—this is the time of year you've been preparing for.
And for those who keep saying:
"I'll get ready when a hurricane is coming…"
⚠️ By then, you may already be too late.
We'll be watching 96L—and every wave behind it—as we move deeper into hurricane season.
