Through the year-long ACE Mentor Program, students explore careers in Architecture, Construction, and Engineering — gaining hands-on experience and professional mentorship that brings their ideas to life.

Future Tech Leaders? KIPP Somos Collegiate 11th and 12th graders visited St. Philips College and got the opportunity to check out the Technology Center 💻 CTE students learned about engineering and cybersecurity programs to help inform their post-secondary endeavors 💡

Computer Science students at KIPP Austin Academy of Arts & Letters spent the day at Q2 Stadium partnering with AMD to build computers from the ground up! 🖥️

Once all diagnostic tests are complete, these computers will be donated to the school to launch a brand-new Computer Science lab.

A huge thank-you to AMD and your incredible team for inspiring our students and creating memories that will last a lifetime! 🌟

Bonus — After building the computers, students got to tour the stadium and even meet a few Austin FC players! ⚽️

🚀 The Dual Credit Welding Program at KIPP Oak Cliff Academy has officially launched in partnership with Tulsa Welding School!

Through this hands-on program, students will gain real-world experience in welding techniques like Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Metal Inert Gas, and Structural Welding — preparing for certifications and high-demand careers in industries such as aerospace, automotive, construction, and manufacturing.

🔥 Students will complete fifty-percent of a 750-hour professional welding program over three years, building the foundation for future success in skilled trades!

Wrapping up , KIPP Houston HS .tsa held their robotics kickoff and met as a TSA chapter to starting prepping for competition season!

All chapters across KIPP Texas are getting started early this year to have ample time for competitive event preparation 💯

The first year of the ACE Mentor Program at KIPP Somos is officially complete — and what an incredible journey it’s been!

Over the past school year, students immersed themselves in the world of Architecture, Construction, and Engineering, gaining hands-on experience, exploring future career paths, and building skills that will last a lifetime.

With weekly after-school sessions, evening presentations, and special events, this year-long program was a major commitment — and a major success.

The ACE Program not only provides real-world exposure but also opens doors to internships and scholarships for our students.

We’re proud of everything these students accomplished and can’t wait to see the program grow even stronger next year. Thank you to Mr. Patel for launching the program and supporting your students after school throughout the entire school year!

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Omar Infante (left) and Jose Cepeda (Right) from KIPP East End HS who graduated on May 16th from Houston Community College with their Level I Certificate in Welding Technology! Both students put in extra lab hours, lecture time, and studying outside of regular class time to complete their final two courses and graduate this May. In addition to graduating with their Level I Certification, Jose and Omar earned their NCCER Core industry-based certification in year one of their dual-credit welding program. ⛓️‍💥

It is incredible to see how driven our students are to accomplish their goals and prepare themselves for success in college, career, and beyond!

Congratulations to Acelyn Porter, senior at KIPP Pleasant Grove Leadership Academy, for earning her Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification and completing over 100 hours of community service. Her determination and drive demonstrate the incredible ways our KIPPsters in CTE are making waves and impacting the surrounding community.

Ranked #3 in her class, Acelyn has been awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships, and she’s headed to the University of North Texas–Denton to study Forensic Science this fall!

We are incredibly excited to see our amazing Little KIPPsters from KIPP Austin Academy of Arts & Letters featured on CNBC — and to celebrate our outstanding computer science teacher, Colleen Henry, for her impactful work in career and technical education!

KIPP Paseo Prep held their inaugural College & Career Fair last Thursday to introduce students to various opportunities available to them now and in the future - summer internships, part-time jobs, trade and technical schools, colleges and universities, military, and so much more!

High schoolers visited booths focusing on areas such as —
