Donner group 3’s backcountry experience is coming to a close. During their trip, sudents persevered along many miles of trails, dipped their toes in icy lakes, prepared meals, purified water, saw inspirational views, and formed life-long bonds with their fellow backpackers.

TWP summer trips are full of big moments- like climbing a mountain, overcoming a fear, or trying something totally new. But, Donner group D3B reminds us that it’s also made up of a lot of small moments- just being in the moment, breathing the fresh air and soaking up the sun, making new friends, and of course bonding over chores!
Donner group 2 is on their way back to Houston today. We have learned so much about ourselves, our strengths, and what is possible when we work together. Thanks for an exciting week in the front country. Thank you TWP volunteers for guiding these incredible students through the backcountry.
The efforts of our guide Luigi and our Head backpack Leader Brad are paying off! Donner 3A continues to develop into a stronger, more cohesive group/team/family. Lots of sharing and bonding occurred on our challenge hike.

Olympic group 3 has returned to NatureBridge from their backcountry experience. Wow, these students have grown!! Today is our canoeing day!
Last but certainly not least, Donner group D2C is packed and ready to go. They’re looking forward to beautiful sites, pushing themselves to be mentally & physically strong, and helping each other along the trail.

Olympic group 2 finishing up their 2-week trip with an evening of hikes to the bluffs and the beach and saying some goodbyes. It’s an early morning departure, so we’re off to bed! See you tomorrow Houston.

What a great first day for Olympic group 3 with NatureBridge. As we explored campus, we saw a bald eagle 🦅 catch a 🐠 from the lake and 2 deer 🦌 joined us for our evening team building games.

Olympic 1 is loaded on the bus headed to the airport. Over the last two weeks, we made new friends, saw amazing views, had a snow ball fight on Anderson Pass, and learned we can push ourselves father than we ever thought.
