Alief Kennedy Elementary School
Alief ISD is a high performing, comprehensive K-12 public school district. Michael Kennedy (1957-1967) died of cancer at age 10.
Michael Kennedy Elementary opened its doors in the fall of 1975, founded by the Alief Independent School District, in honor of an Alief student whose mother worked as a nurse for the district. It is a beautiful elementary school built for the children of Huntington Village. It was built for approximately 800 students. At this time, Kennedy was one of a few schools being built in the Alief ISD with
