Our Mission and Goals

Houston T.A.M.A.S Is an arts education organization presenting Argentine Tango as an agent of community development. Tango is a community-based art form with a global following which embraces musicians, dancers and the public at large. Our mission is to promote cultural understanding and social cohesion through Argentine Tango, providing ongoing public opportunities for danc

e, music, learning and community engagement. Community Outreach

Our community outreach program provides Argentine Tango instruction, in some instances free of charge. We aim to connect generations and bring this art form to new populations such as older adults, veterans, and underprivileged youth. In addition, community instructors and tango students will give public performances throughout the year at local festivals and cultural events.
