It’s !
I’m Ms. Diamond, the provider of BTFCC. My life has been babies since my mom’s owned a childcare growing up. I changed my first diaper at 10, and by 16 - I was an assistant. Since then, my 10+ years of experience includes being a ‘CoachingCorps’ youth coach, Elementary Tutor, Youth Instructor, Mentor & RA, and Infant & Toddler Teacher for KinderCare.
I graduated from El Camino College with 2 Associate Degrees in English and General Studies of Arts & Humanities, and transferred to Long Beach State University where I was awarded my Bachelor’s Degree in English & Creative Writing Spring 2021. My coursework ranged from English and Psychology with over 15 units in Child Development and Family studies.
I am currently trained and certified in Pediatric First Aid & CPR; Preventative Health, Safety, & Nutrition; Infant Safe Sleep; Age-Appropriate Nutrition; Food Allergies; Mandated Reporting; Medical Administration; Infection Control; and Child Development.
My mission is to ensure every child in my care is safe, secured, confident and ready to thrive. I am dedicated from our first meeting to ensure expectations of child care is met: from potty training to learning to write. I’m here for it and here for you!
The benefits of a Black educator is deeper than just the representation. By catering to the 5 and under crew; I am the first educator your Baby Tot will have, and I have the role of developing your Baby Tot into a confident big kid ready to take on the world.
The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights reports high rates of discipline against Black children in early education, specifically with pre-schoolers targeted 3 times the rate of school-agers. Black and multiracial parents are more likely to have job disruptions due to the lack of child care - especially for infants and toddlers. Black educators both advocate and serve the unique needs of Black families and children.
So you can think of me as your Baby Tot’s new favorite & fun Aunty 💕 Because here at Baby Tot Family Child Care - the emphasis is on FAMILY. And FAMILY means no one gets left behind or forgotten - Stitch, Experiment 626 💕
