Today is Holy Saturday, the third of the Great Three Days, or the Triduum as it is also referred. This is the day when the crucified Christ visited among the dead while his body lay in the tomb. We know the resurrection is coming, but imagine how the first disciples would have felt this day after their messiah was just killed.

If you'd like to worship on this Holy Day, consider attending worship at 8pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church - Rice Village where you can join Pastor Morgan for worship and commemoration of the Great Vigil of Easter!

LuMin - the Lutheran Campus Ministry Network for the ELCA - is jumping in on the March Madness fun and hosting a little competition between ELCA campus ministry sites! HouMin and Treehouse are both participating in this fundraiser alongside our campus ministry colleagues around the country and we need your help! Each ministry site gets "points" for every donation made to their specific ministry/school/site, and we get bonus points for first time givers and gifts over $100!

On Ash Wednesday we begin our forty-day journey toward Easter. Marking our foreheads with dust, we acknowledge that we will die and return to the Earth. We will return to the dirt and the dust and to all of the organic matter of the cosmos from which God our creator first shaped us in Their image.

As we remember our mortality and our connectedness to the earth the dust traced on our forehead takes the shape of the life-giving cross indelibly marked on our foreheads at baptism.

While we journey through Lent to return to God, let us remember that we have already been reconciled to God through Christ.

On first and third Thursdays we worship , and you can absolutely sit with us!

We gather together twice a month for a simple service of evening prayer and music from the Lutheran (ELCA) tradition.

No need to be Lutheran, or even Christian, to join us though. You’re invited to participate and/or observe as you want because this time is meant to serve as a soft place to land and re-center in the midst of classes, work, and life.

While we are rooted in the guiding principles of our uniquely Lutheran identity - love, grace, and service - we are a group for all people seeking community, connection, and compassion.

The HouMin Board had its winter stratetegic retreat today at Living Word-Katy. Thanks to these leaders who are committed to mission and ministry on our Houston campuses.

Thanks to all who made our first-ever Friendsgiving a night full of food and festivity.

May your Thanksgiving be a time of joy and rest, family and friends, and/or thoughtful reflection… whatever you need at this time.
