A UST student Franco recently visited Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, our sister school in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and explored its Mandarin Learning Center and campus community.
-
During the visit, Wenzao faculty and staff introduced him to Mandarin course options, semester schedules, visa and housing information, cultural classes, and student support services. The warm welcome reflected the strong partnership between St. Thomas and Wenzao, and faculty shared their willingness to support even short-term Mandarin study opportunities for UST students.
-
Outside the classroom, he also experienced Kaohsiung’s lively night markets, riverfront scenery, and welcoming local culture. The trip left a lasting impression and strengthened his interest in returning to study Mandarin in Taiwan.
-
We thank our colleagues at Wenzao for their hospitality and continued collaboration in expanding global learning opportunities for St. Thomas students.
-
Six more UST students arrived at Wenzao this week. They are beginning an eight-week summer program focused on Mandarin learning and cultural experiences. We wish them a fruitful summer in Taiwan!
