Today we recognize the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose leadership, courage, and unwavering commitment to justice helped shape the Civil Rights Movement and our nation’s history. Through nonviolence, unity, and hope, Dr. King reminded us that meaningful change begins with compassion and the courage to stand up for what is right.

At School of Rock Summer Creek, we believe music has the power to bring people together, amplify voices, and inspire change — values that reflect Dr. King’s vision of equality and understanding for all.

As we honor his legacy, we encourage our students and families to reflect, listen, and continue building a world rooted in respect, empathy, and opportunity.

Synchronicity by The Police

We’re starting 2026 off by diving into Synchronicity, the 1983 album that marked a defining moment in rock history. As the final studio album by The Police, Synchronicity captured the band at the height of their creative powers—blending rock, new wave, jazz influences, and thoughtful lyricism into a sound that still resonates today.

Featuring iconic tracks like “Every Breath You Take,” “King of Pain,” and “Wrapped Around Your Finger,” the album highlights exceptional musicianship, tight ensemble playing, and a deep understanding of dynamics and texture. Each member of the band brings precision and purpose to their parts, reminding us that great music is about listening just as much as playing.
