We are excited to welcome Mr. Ahmet Duran as our new Dean of Students Culture and Operations at Horizon Leadership Academy.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics from the University of Houston–Downtown, along with 7 years of experience in education, Mr. Duran brings a student-centered approach to leadership. He is committed to creating a positive, safe, and supportive environment where every student feels respected, heard, and empowered to succeed.

Please join us in welcoming Mustafa Er, M.A. to Horizon Leadership Academy as our new School Counselor!
Mr. Er earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and History from the University of Connecticut and recently completed his Master’s degree in Counseling from Montclair State University.
With experience supporting middle and high school students in public, private, and nonprofit settings, he is dedicated to helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while creating a safe and supportive environment where every student can thrive.
We are excited to have Mr. Er join the HLA family and look forward to the positive impact he will make in our school community.

Our campers enjoyed their first skateboard lesson, sang together in choir, and had fun on the basketball court. Another great day of learning, teamwork, and summer memories!
