This. Is. CRAZY!!! I am celebrating this morning.

I would have never imagined that i would hit 500 miles running! Let alone all in 8 months. Yes, there was some walking involved… but not much in comparison to running.

I am thinking about starting an online community that will help us develop our love for Jesus and others, while also working on ourselves.

Are you looking for a community of people that are on your side?

Are you willing to grow and be challenged as well as challenge others in their growth?

You know me, I will love you in this community. And I am looking for others that aren’t looking to be right, but are wanting to grow and be searching for the Truth.

This is a membership that has a monthly fee. Why? 3 reasons.

1. It will help to free me up to put some time into it.
2. I have 25+ years of experience(and debt from college) with leading people in this direction.
3. YOU ARE WORTH IT! Where you want to go, what you want to do, goals you want to reach.

I want to get some kinks worked out before we have too many people. This morning I got to lead a discussion on the topic of self care for local entrepreneurs in the The Exchange Oskaloosa CoWorking. The conversation took off and I barely got through half of what I had planned.

As a speaker and leader, we often think that our information is the most important and we need to get through it, but in reality, it connects and is more sticky if people walk through it together.

If you are looking to present some information to your business that is connected with connecting with self or others, I would love to have a conversation with you to see if I could be of service to you and help you accomplish what you want.

Can I share something a little personal with you?

I LOVE helping Christ followers who are youth leaders, organizational leaders or who own or manage businesses who want to both make an impact on the next generation as well as connect better with God, themselves and others.

Most people believe the way to do this is work harder and longer, putting more energy and time in and/or having a bigger audience. But what successful Christ following impacters of the next generation know is that they need a protected space to work on themselves along with their relationships with God and others. They also need a place to work through and experiment with how to better impact the next generation with more influence.

That’s exactly why I have decided to start a Mastermind, as it’s the best way to not feel alone, have a small group of people that want the same things as you, a safe place to work through hard things and work closely with me over the next 12 months.

In fact, my hope is that you will have a group that you can explore your relationships with God, people and yourself. A group of like-minded people that have your back in both your personal life as much as in your professional life.

I’m only taking 10 people, and am specifically looking for people who
• love to have fun and don’t take yourself too seriously.
• are honest with yourself and those around you, and will work to not let your ego get in the way.
• deeply love people (even those that are different from you), dream big, and want to make a difference in the world
• are willing to be vulnerable and ask for help rather than be the strong person all the time.

Why? I attended a week long church planting seminar with someone I was mentoring. I went to be with him. Help him think through what he wanted to do. How to do it. Why he wanted to do it. It has absolutely nothing to do with me. EXCEPT I wanted him to succeed and know he had someone in his corner.

Are you in someone’s corner? Do they know? How are you showing them?

As I sit here at the salon waiting on my daughter, it is loud and lots of talking is happening. It made me wonder, do hair stylists have to take a class on how to talk with customers while they do their hair?

Are they taught what to talk about and what not to talk about? How to stretch out a conversation for a loooooong time? What to do with silence?

Finding people that you can be yourself around comfortably is important to your wellbeing. Some people can go their whole lives without finding it. I have been lucky to find it in several groups that I belong to. We have to create the culture that we want, and we have to search and sometimes create the the environment that the culture we want to have in. In reality, finding it is not a thing. It is something you have to work for in the beginning. It is trying new things. It is interacting with people without knowing where it is going. It is giving of yourself to others. It is going outside of your comfort zone to put yourself out there.What are you doing to create the culture you want to have around you?
