This month’s Wellness Wednesday theme is strategies for effective stress management as we wrap up the school year.

The final days of school can feel exciting, overwhelming and exhausting all at once. Taking care of your mental wellness is important during times of transition and change.

Here are a few strategies to help manage stress:
🧠 Identify what may be causing stress and give yourself time to reflect
🎧 Make time for activities that help you recharge and relax
🚶 Build healthy habits through movement, rest and balanced meals
💬 Reach out for support when things start to feel overwhelming

As summer begins, remember to slow down, reset and make space for rest. Small steps can make a big difference.

Houston’s soccer spirit is taking over the city and YES Prep is joining the celebration this weekend at Copa Univision! ⚽🔥

Families are invited to stop by the YES Prep booth at Houston Sports Park for a day filled with community, games, giveaways, and soccer fun as excitement builds around the World Cup coming to Houston.

YES Prep student athletes will be onsite representing their campuses and showcasing championship trophies during the event. Visitors can test their skills at our soccer challenge, meet the team, learn more about YES Prep schools across Houston, and enter for a chance to win official World Cup soccer balls and jerseys.

Congratulations to the following students for successfully completing the Six Flags Read to Succeed program! Through their dedication and commitment to reading at home, they accomplished their reading goals and earned a free admission ticket to enjoy a fun-filled day at Six Flags this summer.

Their hard work truly shows that reading pays off! We are incredibly proud of their effort, consistency, and enthusiasm for learning beyond the classroom.

A special thank you to our families for supporting reading at home and encouraging our students throughout this challenge.

We look forward to offering this exciting opportunity again during the 2026–2027 school year. We hope even more students will join us next year and discover the rewards that come with developing strong reading habits.
