Have you ever caught yourself thinking:
“They should know that.”
Should they?
One of the fastest ways to create frustration on a team is to hold people accountable for expectations that were never clearly communicated.
We assume.
They interpret.
Something gets missed.
And then everybody gets frustrated.
Great leadership doesn't expect people to read minds.
Say it. Clarify it. Confirm it.
Before you get frustrated with someone's performance, ask yourself:
Did I clearly communicate what I expected?
Sometimes the conversation you think you already had is the conversation you need to have again.
Your team doesn't have to be broken to get better.
