We always have so much fun at the Northwest Homecoming parade every year. We were so happy to see all of our little lions in the crowd!

We love our building custodians! 💙

Today is Custodial Staff Appreciation Day, and we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to every single member of the staff. From building to building, the time and care you all put into our buildings and spaces is evident. We appreciate you all., and THANK YOU for all you do for our students and staff!

🦁💙 The Night Before the First Day of School 💙🦁

’Twas the night before school, and all through the house,
Not a backpack was packed—not even a blouse!
The pencils were sharpened, the new shoes were bright,
But wait… did you register Lion Care tonight? 🦁

For before-school mornings and afternoons too,
Lion Care is here for your kiddos to do!
With Lions in blue and white, we’re ready to roar—
A safe, fun place for your child before and after school doors! 💙🤍

So before the first bell rings and the school year takes flight,
Hop online and register—don’t wait until tonight!
Give yourself one less thing to worry or spare…
And make sure your little Lion is signed up for Lion Care! 🦁💙🤍

Just a reminder that Lion Care is not available when school releases early due to weather. We hope everyone gets home safely ahead of the predicted storms. Families who are scheduled to attend this afternoon will receive a credit on their next invoice for today.

Due to the potential for severe weather, possibly including heavy rains, large hail, and damaging winds, during our normal release times, the Northwest R-I School District will have an early release day on Monday, April 27, 2026. This is to ensure that all students and staff can arrive home safely before weather conditions worsen.

Secondary schools will release at 11:46 a.m. and elementary schools will release at 12:56 p.m.

All after school activities are canceled, including Lion Care and afternoon Jefferson College ATS classes.

There will be no afternoon Early Childhood classes.

We understand that schedule changes are challenging, and we appreciate your flexibility as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.

Thank you for your support.
