Ms. Kelly's class enjoyed some water play this week. We practiced taking turns and following directions. Everyone loved it so it was a great way for everyone to play together.

We’re learning all about emotions at ECC! 😊😢😡🤪

Recognizing feelings is an important part of learning how to understand ourselves and others, so we decided to put our emotional expression skills to the test! Students AND staff picked an emoji and had to make the face. 😂

Safe to say… ECC understood the assignment. 😜💙

🚀 We had our first Space Jam of the year today!
Each month, our ECC family comes together for a leadership assembly where we celebrate one another, learn about our Habit of the Month, dance, and have a little fun together! 💙
This month, we’re focusing on Habit 1: Be Proactive and learning that we are in charge of our own choices, actions, and attitudes. 🌟
Be on the lookout each month for a take-home activity your child can complete with your family to help reinforce the habit at home!
We loved kicking off our year of leadership together and can’t wait for our next Space Jam! 🚀✨

Today, we are beginning our Staff Shoutout recognitions! Staff Shoutouts are for staff, by staff. Any staff member can be nominated by any staff member for anything, such as extraordinary lesson plans, helping out in an unselfish manner, or generally being awesome. We want to make sure no hard work goes unnoticed.

Today's honorees are Nissa Smith from Brennan Woods Elementary and Amber Farmar from the Northwest Early Childhood Center!

Ms. Smith: Nissa has been helping cover Maple Grove Elementary while making sure everything in her own building is running smoothly. It's the beginning of the school year, a very crazy time for everyone, especially for building administrative assistants and Nissa is handling the additional weight of another building effortlessly and with a positive attitude.

Ms. Farmar: Ms. Farmar is a highly-skilled and dedicated Health Room Assistant who consistently goes above and beyond to support students, staff, and families. Her background in Special Education and Autism gives her a unique ability to effectively serve students with special needs, while her knowledge and professionalism make her a trusted resource for staff and parents. She calmly and efficiently manages multiple health situations at once, thoughtfully implements district policies related to student health and wellness, and ensures staff are always well-informed. Her expertise, compassion, and commitment make her an invaluable member of our school community.

Congratulations to you both!
