Gardening Enrichment yesterday!

Someone generously donated a beautiful Christmas cactus, and our gardening club worked together to separate it and create 14 beautiful new plants.

They are getting better and better at the entire process. One student adds the fertilizer to the watering pots while another fills them with water. They are also becoming experts at potting plants and learning how to properly care for everything we grow.

Watching their confidence, teamwork, and knowledge grow right along with their plants has been so rewarding.

🌎Exploring the World Through Enrichment! 🇲🇽

Last week during our afternoon enrichment, our students traveled to Mexico without ever leaving the classroom! The children had a wonderful time learning about Mexican culture, traditions, food, music, and celebrations. We wrapped up our adventure with a fun-filled fiesta, where the students got to experience some of the sights, sounds, and flavors of Mexico.

Our new library area is already a favorite! 📚

We love creating spaces where learning doesn’t always look like sitting at a desk and completing an assignment. Our students can grab a book, get comfortable, explore, read, and enjoy learning in a whole different way.

This is just another example of the non-traditional learning environment we love creating at eLearning Academy. We want our students to have spaces that make them excited to learn, explore their interests, and simply enjoy being here.

And judging by these smiles… I think they’re loving it! ❤️📖

🌕 IT’S HAPPENING!

Our eLearning Academy families have a front-row seat to tonight’s partial lunar eclipse here in Louisiana!

The eclipse will reach its peak at 11:12 PM, when the moon may take on a beautiful reddish-copper hue as Earth’s shadow moves across it.

🌙 A few fun facts:
• A lunar eclipse happens when Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon.
• The Moon does not disappear. It moves into the Earth’s shadow.
• The reddish color happens as sunlight passes through Earth’s atmosphere and reaches the Moon.
• Unlike a solar eclipse, a lunar eclipse is safe to view with the naked eye.
