Learning About Our Feelings!

Our kiddos have been busy learning about emotions and feelings this week! 😊😢😠😨

Through stories, conversations, hands-on activities, and play, they are learning to recognize different emotions, name how they are feeling, and understand what may cause those feelings.

We love watching them demonstrate their understanding by identifying emotions, sharing their own experiences, and beginning to recognize how others may be feeling, too. 🥰

These may seem like little moments, but they are BIG steps in building self-awareness, empathy, communication skills, and emotional development!

👣✨ Little feet, big discoveries!

Today our toddlers took off their shoes and explored different textures by walking across sensory circles with their feet.

A fun way to build sensory awareness, balance, coordination, and confidence while learning through play! 💕🌈

Tiny Hands, BIG Learning! 🖐️🎨

Our toddlers put their hands and fingers to work as they explored painting in a whole new way! Using their fingertips, they dabbed, pressed, smeared, and made marks, discovering all the amazing things their little hands can do.

While getting a little messy, they were also strengthening fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory awareness, and creativity.

Sometimes the BEST learning happens right at their fingertips! 🖐️✨

👅🍓🥨🥒 Taste • Notice • Compare!

Today we also put our taste buds to work!

Our little learners compared a sweet strawberry 🍓, salty pretzels 🥨, and sour pickles 🥒 and discovered that foods can taste very different!

We tasted, noticed, compared—and even decided which flavors we liked best! 💜
