🌟 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK! 🌟

This week, we are excited to shine the spotlight on our amazing Ms. Bethany Rogers! 🐻💙

➗📚 5th Grade Math Teacher & PTC Treasurer

Ms. Rogers was inspired to become a teacher by the wonderful example set by the teachers in her own family. With grandparents, godparents, and cousins who were teachers, she grew up watching people she loved truly enjoy their jobs and make a difference in the lives of others. ❤️🍎 It’s no surprise that she found her own calling in education!

Ms. Rogers has been teaching for 9 years, and an incredible 8 of those years have been right here at Oakshire! 🐻💙 We are so grateful for her dedication, passion, and the positive impact she makes on our students every day!

And now for the fun question… 🎶👗
If Ms. Rogers could relive any decade, she would choose the 1950s! 💃✨ Her reasons? The poofy skirts, the music, and the fun way of life! 🎀🎶 We can definitely picture Ms. Rogers rocking those poodle skirts! 😂

This week, we are excited to shine the spotlight on our amazing Ms. Megan Wren! 🐻✨

📚🔬 4th Grade Science & Social Studies Teacher

Ms. Wren was inspired to become a teacher because of her love for learning and her desire to help others. ❤️📖 She knew that teaching would give her the opportunity to share that love of learning while making a difference in the lives of her students—and we are so glad she chose education!

Ms. Wren has been teaching for 5 years, and we are especially excited that this is her 2nd year here at Oakshire! 🐻💙 We are so thankful to have her as part of our Oakshire family!

And now for the fun question… 📺🍿
If Ms. Wren could relive any decade, she would choose the 2000s! Why? Because TV shows were still 24 episodes a season! 😂🙌 Honestly… she may have a point!

🐻💙 Congratulations to our August Students of the Month! 💙🐻

We are so proud to recognize these amazing Oakshire Elementary Bears who were selected as our August Students of the Month! 🌟

This month’s character trait was EMPATHY—the ability to understand how others are feeling, show compassion, and treat others with kindness and care. 💕 These students were chosen because they consistently demonstrate empathy toward their classmates, teachers, and others throughout our school.

We are incredibly proud of the example they set each day. Their kind hearts help make Oakshire Elementary a place where everyone feels valued, supported, and cared for. 🫶

👏 Congratulations to all of our August Students of the Month! Keep leading with kindness and showing others what it means to have a heart of a Bear! 🐻💙

We want to give a huge thanks Mr. Kent Sontheimer and Sonoco for partnering with Oakshire Elementary School! This is the first community donation that we’ve received and we are super excited about this partnership! We’re welcoming other local businesses to join our efforts and support our Oakshire Bears!
