8th grade honors students moving to high school:
Honors reading assignments are in and need to be picked up at Oaklawn between 10am and 1pm on June 9th, 10th, or 13th. This is a mandatory high school assignment. It will be your 1st major grade/assignment in high school Reading.
It has been a scary day of school today. I would like to shout out our faculty, staff, and students for acting so quickly this morning when lockdown was called. We had an unauthorized visitor on campus this morning, and everyone moved quickly to insure our students’ safety. At no time, did we have an active shooter , no weapon was observed, no threat was observed, no altercation, no disturbance. He was apprehended by the Houma Police Department for further questioning. Thank you again for the quick action of the Houma Police Department and for remaining on campus to ensure our safety.
