That’s a wrap on the 2026 Chamber Choir tour! During the past ten days, current students and a few Chamber Choir alums had the privilege of traveling across NY, PA, VA, and NC to perform, meet Houghton alumni, participate in masterclasses, and make unforgettable memories. Thank you so much to everyone who came out to join the ensemble, as well as the incredible churches that hosted! It’s truly incredible to see the way God uses music to move in the lives of so many people!

Not even a dead van can stop this crew!
When one of the Houghton vans broke down on their first day on the road, the 2026 Chamber Choir tour took an unexpected turn. Thankfully we serve a faithful God who provides, and they were able to find a rental van and continue the journey! Thank you to the folks back in Houghton who continue to support their mission to share God’s love through music!

Join us tonight for the Houghton Choir concert at 7:30 pm at Houghton Wesleyan Church!
The Houghton Choir will perform the music of twentieth-century French composer, Maurice Duruflé, including his innovative and passionate Requiem. The Choir will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra of strings, trumpets, timpani, harp, and organ played by Dr. Judy Congdon. The vocal soloists are graduate student Jonathan Hutmire, and voice faculty member Dr. Kimberly Prins Moeller. Written during WWII and premiered shortly after, Requiem combines Gregorian chant, lush romantic harmonies, and innovative chromaticism into a devout work that combines the ancient with the modern, the serene with the dramatic.
