IRON COUNTY - Brooke Stine's new candy shop in Iron River is a northern delight! Her advice for starting a new ? “Don’t be afraid to ask for help! People are ready to help you turn your idea into a reality. And you get back what you give. If you give love, you will get love in return.” 🥰

Brooke credits the many people who supported her journey, including the Michigan SBDC, MTEC SmartZone, Iron County Economic Chamber Alliance, Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development - MDARD, City of Iron River, CoVantage Credit Union, and especially her family!

Did you know that the U.P. has a third of Michigan's land area, but only 3% of the State's population? 😮

Because we live and work in the largest (and most beautiful!) region of our great State, your geographically dispersed team doesn't get to see all of you in person nearly as often as we would like. Even so, your Upper Peninsula SBDC team serves almost 1,000 businesses each year across the U.P. via video, phone, email, text, community events, and site visits.

Thank you to all of our U.P. businesses, partners, and . We appreciate you!
