It takes a lot of moving pieces – and hard-working people – to create a Michigan Tech Performance.

In front of the audience, performers and actors flex their creative muscles and build confidence. Behind the scenes, Huskies design and run lighting and sound cues, build sets, paint scenery, manage props, sew costumes, apply makeup, solve last-minute problems, and help keep actors on cue — and more!

What started as a group of 16 singers in 1980 has evolved over four decades into one of the premier vocal forces in the Upper Peninsula. This Saturday, March 14, that tradition continues as the Michigan Tech Concert Choir and conScience: Michigan Tech Chamber Singers take the stage together for "Choral Pops."

Led by Jared Anderson, the program features a unique blend of familiar hits from Paul Simon and Tears for Fears alongside powerful selections from the Middle East.

Due to deteriorating road conditions, Michigan Tech and the Rozsa Center will close for the remainder of the day starting at 12 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb 18.

🎼 Event Update: Tonight’s Superior Wind Symphony concert has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, Feb 19, at 7:30 p.m. at the Rozsa Center.

🎟️ Tickets: All ticket holders have been contacted. Your tickets will remain valid for the new date unless you request a refund.

🗓️ Note: This closure does not affect the opening night of Proof in McArdle Theatre, which will proceed as scheduled from Feb 19–21.

-Reception: Stop by between 5–7 p.m. to view the artwork and hear remarks from Gallery Director Terri Jo Frew.
-Live Music: Enjoy live music in the Rozsa Lobby from 6–6:30 p.m. by feminist punk band "A Certain Rage."

Here are a few tips to make your experience easy and enjoyable:

🚘 PARKING ON CAMPUS: Free parking is available on Michigan Tech’s campus on weekends, and after 4 p.m. on weekdays. For the closest spots to the Rozsa Center, we recommend Lots 8, 10W, 14, and the metered spots along Cliff Drive.

🎟️ TICKETS: This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available.

We're excited to welcome you to the annual Don Keranen Jazz Festival tonight and tomorrow! 🎷🎶🪗 Before the concerts, take a moment to admire the vibrant new mural that brightens the McArdle Lobby!

"From Frida to Cy" mural was painted in the fall of 2023 by students in the Scenic Art class. Designed by Lisa Gordillo and Mary Kozmor, it incorporates input from students and community members about their perspectives on art and what it means to them. The mural draws inspiration from artists like Frida Kahlo, Edgar Degas, Agnes Martin, Cy Twombly, Andrea Ferrigno, Banksy, Olek, and Maurizio Cattelan.

The theme of this year's fashion show unites technology, fashion, and empathy. Witness the power of creative expression in the digital age as designers, engineers, artists, and innovators come together to create futuristic designs that integrate elements like interactive LED walls, 3D printing, and, of course, robot models strutting down the runway.
