BHK Child Development BHK works with local schools, public health, mental health, and other human-service agencies to provide comprehensive, quality programs.

BHK is a non-profit community agency and the region’s largest provider of early education and care, serving families in Baraga, Houghton, and Keweenaw Counties. Some programs give priority to low-income families and children with special needs, but all familes are encouraged to register.

At BHK it's not just educators that make our program run!

From putting up our Little Free Libraries-at every stand-alone BHK location 📚

To helping supporting classrooms in the importance of emergency preparedness⚠️

To taking what was once thought a lost piece of equipment and making it new🔨

We are thankful for the work our maintenance team does and the support they provide to classrooms and educators!
