The IAGG World Congress is held every four years and brings together researchers, clinicians, and policy makers focused broadly on the health and wellbeing of older adults. The theme of this year's congress was "Ageing well in a Globalized World."

Dr. Kelly Kamm Honored with Faculty Distinguished Service Award for Public Health Initiatives.

For her leadership and development of a contact tracing program during the COVID-19 pandemic, Kelly Kamm has been selected to receive Michigan Technological University's 2026 Faculty Distinguished Service Award.

Congratulations to 2025 graduates Isaac Hein (BS Civil Engineering) and Christian Moutsatson (BS Exercise Science), who recently completed the US Army's Infantry Basic Officer Leadership Course. After five months of intensive training in the field, the newly commissioned lieutenants earned their blue Infantry cords following an eight mile night march carrying 50-pound packs.

Of course, they made sure to bring a Michigan Tech flag along for the journey. The flag remains fully operational.
