📢 Projects at the Playground Update 📢

We have a few important updates to share regarding this ongoing event:

✅ The parking lot remodel will not affect our event. The main school parking lot will remain open and available for parking.

🚧 Please note that the parking lot behind the school will be closed for approximately 2–3 weeks due to construction.

🌤️ We are also planning to continue holding our event throughout the summer, even when air quality is a concern. However, if the Air Quality Index (AQI) exceeds 150, the event will be moved indoors to help keep everyone safe and comfortable.

Thank you for your flexibility and support. We look forward to seeing everyone at the playground!

Our program runs Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Here's what's coming up:
🎨 Monday: Paint a Snake
🐉 Wednesday: Create Dragon Eggs

We look forward to another week of creativity, imagination, and fun with everyone. See you soon!

Junes food truck was such a success we decided to schedule another one for next month! So mark your calendars and make a plan to stop by the Sheriff's office on July 10th. We typically start handing food out around 10am until it is gone!

***CALLING ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS ***

Do you or an organization you work with have a cool, big, or interesting vehicle? Are you interested in giving back to the community while having an amazing time? HLPL is looking for volunteers to participate in our annual Touch a Truck event on Thursday, July 23rd, from 10:30am to 12:00pm. This is a wonderful, community event that allows children and families to get an up-close, hands-on look at some cool vehicles.

Not only is it a blast for everyone (visitors and volunteers), but it's a wonderful way to get out and build relationships within the community. If you or someone you know is interested in participating, please contact Houghton Lake Public Library at 989-366-9230 and ask to speak with Kiel. You may also email the library at [email protected].
