🎉 HUGE shoutout to our Level 2 and Level 3 Pre-Educator students!🎉

As part of their Education Technology and Child Growth & Development coursework, these future educators put their skills into action! 📚🍎

Students worked collaboratively to create, plan, and teach an educational Jeopardy game to an 8th-grade class! They did an awesome job working as a team, engaging younger students, and getting real-world experience in the classroom.

JAG students took a closer look at the difference between being mindful and being mind full. Students participated in a gallery walk where they explored real-life scenarios and used critical thinking to decide how they could respond in a more mindful way. Students practiced considering their actions, emotions, and choices before reacting. They learned that being mindful can help us make better decisions every day.

Our JAG students had the opportunity to hear from Khamauryea Mitchell, who is now training to become a professional MMA fighter.
Khamauryea shared his philosophy: “Train hard so you can play easy.” He reminded students that while winning is the goal, losing isn’t really losing; it's an opportunity to learn, grow, and get better. He also shared how he works toward gaining sponsorships and building his career.
Khamauryea joined us because of a student’s interest in kickboxing as a career, but his message went far beyond MMA. His lessons about hard work, perseverance, learning from mistakes, and chasing your goals are things every student can use in life right now.
Thank you, Khamauryea, for investing in our students and showing them that success is about getting better every day!

Yesterday, our Lady Trojan Volleyball team held their annual Black & Gold Game! The girls played hard, competed, and gave us a great preview of what’s to come this season!
