Dr. Rachel the veterinarian stopped by to spend some time with our little learners, and she brought along a very special friend a one-eyed kitten named Socket! 🐱✨

From the moment he arrived, Socket had everyone wrapped around his tiny paw. The children loved learning about what veterinarians do, how they care for animals, and all the ways we can show kindness and love to our animal friends.

There were lots of smiles, curious questions, and plenty of giggles as Socket soaked up all the attention! 💕And while Socket may only have one eye, he had no trouble seeing that every heart in the room ADORED him. 🥹❤️

A huge thank you to Dr. Rachel for sharing her time, knowledge, and sweet little sidekick with us today. Moments like these remind us that our differences make us special and that a little kindness can go a long way.

Safe to say, Socket left today with a whole fan club of little friends who will be talking about him for days to come! 🐾✨

L&P fam… we had a REAL LIFE BABY ALLIGATOR at school today and the kids are AMPED 😂

A HUGE thank you to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for coming out and giving our kiddos the coolest, most hands-on learning experience ever! They didn’t just talk to the kids..they got them involved, answering questions, teaching them about reptiles, poisonous vs. venomous snakes (yes, we learned there’s a difference 👀), and letting them explore all kinds of incredible items like turtle shells, snake skins, and even bones!

And then… the moment of fame… 🥁✨

Everyone meet Belt 🐊 Fun fact: he has siblings named Boots and Purse… 😂 Sadly they couldn’t make it, but Belt definitely held down the spotlight!

The kids were equal parts amazed, brave, AND curious 🤣

We are so thankful for opportunities like this that allow us to go beyond the classroom and create unforgettable, hands-on experiences for our students. This is what learning should look like engaging AND exciting ✨

✨ A little peek into something special… ✨

Today was one of those mornings that just makes your heart FULL. 💛
Watching our kiddos walk into their very own library space — wide-eyed, curious, and SO excited — was pure magic. 📚💕

This room has been a labor of love for us. So many hours, so much heart, and a whole lot of teamwork has gone into creating a space where our kids can slow down, explore, imagine, and fall in love with books. And while we’re not completely finished yet… getting to see it come to life today made every second worth it. 🥹

We had the sweetest visit this morning with story time, puppets, giggles, and so much engagement-the JOY in that room was something you just had to feel. 🎭📖 The kids were so proud, so well-behaved, and truly just lit up being in a space made just for them.

This is exactly what it’s all about. 💫

And the best part? This is just the beginning. We’re so excited to start incorporating more fun experiences like this and even bring in some Mystery Readers soon (parents… you might be getting tapped 😉).
