🚨 New Coach Alert!
We’re excited to welcome Grant Hutson to the Lakeside coaching staff!
Coach Hutson brings 6 years of teaching experience and 3 years of coaching experience to the Rams. During his coaching career, he has served as both a head and assistant coach in soccer and football. As a Head Soccer Coach, he led his program to a state semifinal appearance in just his second season and earned All-Star Coach honors.
Coach Hutson believes the lessons learned through athletics directly translate to success in the classroom. He is passionate about developing student-athletes through discipline, preparation, perseverance, teamwork, and resilience while helping them represent their school and community with integrity and strong character.
In addition to coaching, Coach Hutson has served as an FBLA sponsor, helping students qualify for District, State, and National competitions, including producing a 2025 FBLA National Champion.
Coach Hutson will serve as an Assistant Junior High Football Coach and Assistant Girls Soccer Coach.
Coaching and serving students runs in the family. Grant joins his mother, Angie Hutson, a Computer Science teacher and FBLA sponsor at Lakeside High School, and his father, Bryan Hutson, an Assistant Junior High Football Coach and Assistant Track Coach, as members of the Lakeside team.

🚨 New Coach Alert!
We’re excited to welcome Daniel Riggin back to the Lakeside coaching staff!
Coach Riggin is no stranger to Lakeside, having previously served in a variety of coaching roles, including football, basketball, track, and as Lakeside's first wrestling coach. He is passionate about teaching fundamentals, inspiring young athletes, and helping students reach their full potential both on and off the field.
Coach Riggin will serve as an Assistant Football Coach for grades 7-9 and an Assistant Boys Basketball Coach. He is excited to once again serve the coaches, teachers, athletes, and families of Lakeside.
Coach Riggin and his family have strong Rams roots. His daughter, Ava, recently graduated from Lakeside and will continue her academic and athletic career at Ouachita Baptist University as a member of the track team. His son, David, will be a sophomore at Lakeside this fall.

🚨 New Coach Alert!
We’re excited to welcome David Davenport to the Lakeside coaching staff!
Coach Davenport brings nearly 20 years of coaching experience and a wealth of knowledge to our athletic programs. A former All-State football and track athlete, he continued his playing career at the University of Central Arkansas, where he earned All-Conference honors twice and was recognized as an All-American offensive lineman.
Throughout his coaching career, Coach Davenport has served in a variety of leadership roles in football and track, helping develop successful programs and student-athletes both on and off the field. He is also a longtime Fellowship of Christian Athletes leader and the author of the leadership series What Remains: The Rise of a Player Driven Team.
Coach Davenport will serve as an Assistant High School Football Coach and Assistant Track Coach.
He is also joining his wife, Nicole Davenport, as a Lakeside Ram. Nicole has been a valued member of the Lakeside family, teaching 1st grade and making a positive impact on students for many years.

We’re excited to welcome LaMont Page to the Lakeside coaching staff!
Coach Page brings 25 years of experience in education and 15 years of coaching experience to the Rams. A Hot Springs native and graduate of Hot Springs High School, he continued his academic and athletic career at Ouachita Baptist University, where he played collegiate basketball and earned his bachelor's degree. He also holds master's degrees in Teaching and Educational Administration.
Throughout his coaching career, Coach Page has worked with student-athletes in boys and girls basketball, football, and track and field. He is passionate about developing character, discipline, teamwork, and a strong work ethic both on and off the court.
Coach Page will serve as the Head Junior High Girls Basketball Coach and an Assistant Track Coach. He is excited to help build a culture of excellence within the Lakeside Girls Basketball Program while investing in student-athletes across multiple sports.
As Coach Page often says, "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."

🚨 New Coach Alert!
We’re excited to celebrate Chance Tanner in his new role leading our cross country and track programs!
Coach Tanner is entering his 5th year at Lakeside, where he has served as an assistant cross country coach, assistant track coach, and most recently as the Head Boys Track Coach. He will now serve as the Head Coach for both Cross Country and Boys and Girls Track.
With 11 years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels, Coach Tanner has helped develop 18 individual state champions, 2 team state championships, 4 team state runner-ups, and 6 conference championships.

We’re excited to welcome Lana Reynolds to our Lakeside coaching staff!
Lana is a veteran educator with 20 years of teaching experience and is entering her 3rd year at Lakeside Intermediate, where she teaches 4th grade literacy. With a background in dance and experience coaching youth athletics, she will be one of the leaders of our newly formed Junior High Sideline Spirit Squad.
She and her husband, Jacob Reynolds, Lakeside’s Defensive Coordinator, are currently the only husband and wife coaching team at Lakeside. They are proud parents to Zane and Zynlee.

We’re excited to welcome Cortland Austin to the Lakeside coaching staff!
Coach Austin brings 5 years of high school coaching experience, including stops at Dumas and Jacksonville. During his time at Dumas, he served as an assistant boys basketball and baseball coach. At Jacksonville, he held multiple football roles, including 9th Grade Defensive Coordinator, High School Defensive Coordinator, and Defensive Backs Coach.
A former player for current Lakeside Defensive Coordinator Jacob Reynolds, Coach Austin understands the standard and culture of Rams football.
A hardworking and dedicated coach, Coach Austin is committed to building discipline, toughness, and character in student-athletes while creating a competitive and positive team culture.
He will serve as an Assistant High School Football Coach and Assistant Baseball Coach.

We’re excited to welcome Dirk Thompson to the Lakeside coaching staff!
Originally from Russellville, Arkansas, Coach Thompson is a graduate of Pottsville High School and earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education, along with an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice, from Arkansas Tech University.
This will be his fifth year teaching and coaching, with experience in football, track & field, and cross country. During his time in track & field, he has helped develop 8 district champions, 13 district runner-ups, as well as a state champion and state runner-up in hurdles, long jump, and triple jump.
Coach Thompson will serve as an Assistant Cross Country and Track Coach. He is passionate about investing in students both academically and athletically and making a positive impact each day.
