Congratulations to Cade Berryhill, our first ever Ebenezer Award recipient.

Now we are looking for our 2027 recipient.

The Ebenezer Award is the "official Emcee Award" and was created to recognize a young martial artist who truly represents the values of martial arts both on and off the mat.

This is not an award based on rank. You do not have to be a black belt to be nominated.

The award is open to martial artists 18 and under, and there is NO COST to enter and nominate someone.

The 2027 recipient will receive a trophy and a gift basket of goodies, and will be recognized on stage at the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame Banquet.

If you know a young martial artist who deserves to be recognized for their character, dedication, leadership, and the way they represent martial arts, start getting your nominations in for 2027.

Gen Z learns through their phones. That’s the reality we’re leading in. The goal isn’t to shut it out, but to incorporate it in a way that builds focus, respect, and balance—so it doesn’t become something that dominates attention or replaces presence.

September 11, 2001.

A day that changed our country forever.

Nearly 3,000 lives were lost. Thousands of families were changed forever. And countless people stepped forward to help, not knowing what the next moment would bring.

Today, we remember the people who never made it home.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, military members, and ordinary people who put others before themselves.

We remember the families who continue to carry that loss.

25 years later, we remember.
We honor their lives.
We honor their sacrifice.
And we will never forget.

This Labor Day, we’re celebrating the people who spend their days building something bigger than themselves.

The school owners opening their doors.
The instructors staying late to help a student.
The coaches planning the next class.
The mentors who keep showing up, even when nobody sees the work that goes into it.

Because in martial arts, the work isn’t just what happens on the mat.

It’s the early mornings, late nights, phone calls, planning, teaching, cleaning, learning, and countless hours spent helping students become better versions of themselves.

That work matters.

To every martial arts school owner, instructor, and leader putting in the work today—and every other day—we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re proud to be part of this community.
