This summer, we are challenging students to do 500 minutes of reading! They can choose any books they like whether it’s a graphic novel, a classic, or the latest bestseller; it all counts toward their flight time to fictional worlds!

Students can log reading minutes through Osborne’s Beanstack or the Gwinnett County Public Library's Beanstack (Pro-tip: Log on both to double up on prizes!).

📚 It’s Yearbook Week at OMS! 🦅
Get ready, Hawks! This week is officially Yearbook Week, and we are celebrating with a school-wide Spirit Week! Not only will we be counting down to the big yearbook distribution, but we also have a massive challenge for you: Can YOU Guess the Theme? 🤫

The Yearbook Theme Guessing Game 🔍
Daily Hints: Listen closely to the morning announcements every single day next week for clues about this year's secret yearbook theme.

👕 The Spirit Week Lineup
Here is how you can dress up each day to show your Hawk pride:

MONDAY: Rough Draft Day (PJ Day) 💤
Think "Adam Sandler meets sleepwear." Wear your comfiest pajamas for maximum comfort and zero coordination! You're not finished yet—you're just the first draft of yourself today.

TUESDAY: Rhyme without Reason 🍌
Grab a friend and dress up as two things that rhyme but make absolutely no sense together (like Hannah Montana and a banana!).

WEDNESDAY: Scratch the Present (Early 2000s) 💿
Rewind the clock and raid your parents' closets! Bring back early 2000s fashion—think baggy cargo pants, layered shirts, butterfly clips, Hollister, and Ed Hardy.

THURSDAY: Role Revision (Teacher-Student Swap) 🔄
Flip the script! Students dress like teachers (blazers, lanyards, coffee mugs) and teachers dress like students (hoodies, backpacks, TikTok trends).

FRIDAY: Scratch the Rest, Wear the Best! 🎓
The wait is officially over! Show off your extreme Hawk spirit as we reveal the 2026 yearbook!
8th Graders: Wear your tie-dye!
6th & 7th Graders: Wear your favorite jersey, club uniform, or school colors!
Yearbooks will officially be distributed this Friday, May 15th! We will also crown the genius who correctly guessed our yearbook theme during Friday's announcements.

Let's bring that incredible Hawk energy all week long! We can't wait to see our students and staff dressed up!
