The Crew organize their own activities, which are centered on four core areas: Adventure, Leadership, Service, and Personal Growth. Typical activities include backpacking trips, white-water rafting, community service projects, and business start-up challenges. The program's aim is to foster leadership, ethics, and a sense of adventure as participants explore potential careers, develop independence, and become responsible citizens.

Have you ever had questions about Philmont Scout Ranch? Come to University of Scouting and learn all you need to know and then some. This class will be instructed by Philmont experienced Scouters to answer all your burning questions. Limited spots available.

This essential, hands-on course prepares Advisors and Scouts for a successful Philmont high-adventure trek. We cover critical wilderness skills specific to the New Mexico mountains, including map and compass navigation, rigorous Leave No Trace practices, efficient pack fitting and gear management, backcountry cooking, and high-altitude first aid. Participants will gain the confidence and practical knowledge needed to manage trail logistics, stay safe, and thrive as a cohesive crew.

The Scout Oath instills in youth that, “On my honor I will do my best … to help other people at all times.” Emergency care is no exception. Learn to properly administer CPR and how to properly use an AED to help save a life. This is a two year certification through the American Heart Association. Register today! There are limited spots.
