Meet our youngest mechanical team member: Oliver! Oliver is a seventh grader at Hortonville Middle School and has been on the team for one year. Oliver likes to build and fix things and being on the team, he has gotten more mechanical experience and has learned about robotics. Oliver is also a member of the Hortonville Middle School Jazz band and enjoys biking and outdoor activities in his free time. Meet one of our software team members: Sam! Sam is a sophomore at Hortonville High School and has been on the team for one year. Meet our software lead: Grace! Grace is a sophomore at Hortonville High school and has been on the team for two years. Grace is involved outside of robotics in several technology-related activities and is an advocate for women in technology. She is an intern through a local organization, NEW IT Alliance and is highly involved with mentoring a Girls Who Code club. In her fee time, Grace plays for two jazz bands, helps out middle school and community music groups, and helps out the district's IT department. We want to say thank to to Plexus Corp. for their support to robotics teams in the area! In addition to a $1,000 donation and gift bags to each of our team members, they gave our team an extensive tour of both the Design Center and the Manufacturing building! Thank you so much!

We had a great day at the Knack Attack in Hartland, Wisconsin! After a couple of hiccups, we were able to get some great driver control points and won 2nd place Innovate Award and 3rd place Think award. Overall, it was a great competition and we can’t wait to compete at state on February 22nd!
