Horton Public Library Our Mission: To provide equitable access to resources, learning opportunities, and community connections. If not you can fill out a request for purchase.

Our Goal: We aim to spark curiosity & connect our community! Horton Public Library has been a cornerstone of our community striving to spark curiosity in literature. And providing programming to increase the social well-being of the citizens of Horton, Kansas, for almost 100 years. Public libraries are much more than just a lender of books! We also have a business center, entertainment connections

, a meeting room, and we help bridge the digital gap. We provide 24-hour Internet service with WIFI & several public use computers as well as many other various electronic devices such as a Cricut, a PS4, a large screen smart t.v., and even some smaller items that you can check out such as a selfie-stick. If we don’t have what you want, then we can usually get it for you through our Inter-Library Loan service or our digital resources. Your library card is the smartest card in your wallet!

Thank you Lynn!!! 🎉

A couple weeks ago Aya went to a author event at and got to chat with Lynn Painter! She told her about the size of our library and how we only had two of her books in our collection. After hearing this, Lynn generously offered to send the library some of her other titles! We are so grateful, and are going to get these catalogued as fast as we can so you guys can check them out!
