Our Preschool friends made a colorful masterpiece today! Using mallets to tap cotton balls soaked in different colors, our little artists watched as the colors came alive on the paper with every tap!

This hands on STEAM activity encouraged creativity, strengthened fine motor skills, and helped develop hand eye coordination while exploring colors, cause and effect, and the magic of experimenting! Who knew a little tapping could make such a BIG, beautiful splash of color? 🖌️✨🌈

Here Comes The Firetruck!🚒

October is Fire Prevention Month, so the Horsham Fire Department made a stop at our school to say hi to all of our friends! They enjoyed story time with firefighters before heading outside for an up close tour of the fire truck and some of the tools they use when they are putting out a fire!🔥🧯🧑‍🚒

We had a morning full of excitement, and maybe even a few lights and sirens, while learning about our community helpers and fire safety!🚨😊👩‍🚒

Today, our Education Director, Miss Sarah, participated in the The Goddard School’s Extraordinary Exchange! Joining over 1,000 directors from Goddard Schools across the country, it was a day of learning, connection, and fresh thinking! She spent the day with our friends from sharing ideas, collaborating, and learning from one another through engaging sessions and meaningful conversations! 😊🤔💕

The best part? Bringing all that inspiration back to our school! We can’t wait to see these fresh ideas turn into new opportunities to grow, support our teachers, and make every day extraordinary for our students and families!🌟💙

Miss Lexi is the co teacher in our Get Set classroom and has a unique way of helping our little learners discover all that they are capable of! No matter what skill they are tackling, she is always nearby, cheering them on and giving them the confidence to say “I did it”. 👏

What’s hiding inside the sensory box? 👀🖐️

Our Preschoolers took turns reaching in, feeling different textures, and using their words to describe what they discovered! From soft and smooth to rough, bumpy, fuzzy, and squishy, each new texture brought a chance to explore and learn! 🤔🔍😊

Sensory play is a wonderful way to engage little hands and curious minds while building vocabulary as children learn to identify, compare, and describe how things feel. It also encourages curiosity, confidence, and hands on discovery as our learners explore the world through their senses! 🌟🖐️

This week through Wonder of Learning we are exploring the question, “What is a family.”, and today we made our very own handprint family trees!🌳

Each handprint or tiny fingerprint represented a special family member, showing how every family is made up of unique individuals who grow, learn, and love together! ✋🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

Just like trees, no two families look exactly alike. Some have lots of branches, some have a few, but every family is special and grows together from the same roots! 🪾🌿💕

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
