At The Quaker School, we pause to reflect on freedom, equity, and justice—not just as historical milestones, but as ongoing commitments in how we learn, lead, and care for one another.

What regulation looks like in summer ☀️

Water play, nature walks, swinging, and quiet sensory breaks: Summer offers so many opportunities to support emotional regulation in joyful, accessible ways.

For kids with complex challenges, play is purposeful, and regulation doesn’t always look like stillness. Sometimes, it looks like movement, laughter, or getting a little messy in the sandbox.

The halls might be quiet, but we’re still here! A reminder that our summer office hours are 9–3, Mon–Fri.

Growth doesn’t always happen all at once. Sometimes it starts with a student feeling confident enough to try something new.

When Beck first joined TQS, flexible thinking was a daily challenge. Today, through our Business Literacy program, he’s exploring career paths, practicing interview skills, and building confidence through hands-on experiences with his classmates.

Moments like these are possible because students are given the support, structure, and opportunities they need to grow in ways that once felt out of reach.

When construction caused a detour at drop-off, our Head of School, Alex, and Learning Specialist, Jenn, decided to fully commit to the bit.

Safe to say the traffic cone costumes made the morning a little more fun for everyone.
